Ellet "Marching Orangemen" Marching Band

The Ellet High School "Marching Orangemen" Marching Band is an outdoor performance ensemble (marching band) that performs at all Ellet football games, pep assemblies and parades in the Akron Community.
The musicians and Color Guard members of the EHS Marching Orangemen perform popular music ranging from rock and funk to marches and Disney hits.
The marching band begins rehearsals in late July with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of music performance and physical fitness.
The EHS Marching Band provides the students with a fun and challenging beginning to the school year while entertaining the Ellet Community.

Meet the Orangemen Staff
Adam Grom - Director
Mr. Grom received a Bachelors of Music from the University of Akron in 1989. He has been the Director of Instrumental Music at Ellet High School since September of 1989. Mr. Grom teaches privately and has been an active freelance saxophonist in N.E. Ohio for the last 23 years. In addition to many local bands he has performed with Rosemary Clooney, Debbie Reynolds, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Four Tops as well as many other nationally touring recording artists.
Mr. Grom, his wife Amy and son Ben live in Akron and are proud and active members of the Akron community.
Tiffany Jacobs - Assistant Director
Miss Jacobs is a graduate of The University of Akron, active clarinet player and teacher and currently a substitute teacher in the APS. She has been a part of the Ellet Band staff for 7 years as well as the clarinet instructor for the School of Fine and Performing Arts at Firestone High School.
Theresa Rousculp - Color Guard Instructor
Mrs. Rousculp is a 1993 Ellet graduate where she played violin and was Color Guard Captain. She returned in the 90's as color guard instructor and then again in 2005. She is currently on staff at Hyre Middle School in the multiple handicap unit.
Patrick Wagner - Percussion Instructor
Patrick Wagner started his career in music upon graduation from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1990 touring with the United States Marine Corps, U. S. Army, and Ohio National Guard Bands. He earned is BM from The University of Akron and did his graduate work at Youngstown State University. Mr. Wagner has enjoyed a successful music performance and education career throughout the Northeast United States. Patrick Wagner is currently Adjunct Faculty at Youngstown State University serving as the Professor of Music for the department of Dance and also as an Assistant Professor of Percussion for the Department of Music. Mr. Wagner is also proud to serve as the Percussion instructor for Ellet High School and Hyre Middle School.
