The 2013 National Senior Games are coming to Cleveland this July! This Olympic style event will be the largest participatory multi-sport event held in the United States in 2013 and the largest event Cleveland has ever hosted. Over a two-week period, Cleveland will host over 13,000 athletes and
an additional 20,000 of their friends and family. The National Senior Games will consist of 19 different sports, an athlete village with a variety of programming, a torch lighting to kick off the games and a Celebration of Athletes ceremony.
Students can sign up to volunteer as an individual or in a group at the same venue during the same shift. This opportunity provides a great way for your high school students to become engaged in the community and to promote the Games to people of all ages. At the same time these students would get to watch inspirational senior athletes competing at a high level.
